Registered Nurse - Post Partum Nights

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 with options of 36 or 48 hours per week, requiring 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Post Partum unit. This role requires expertise in postpartum care, including assessment and management of neonates and mothers following delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience, including familiarity with high-risk conditions and a solid understanding of both care protocols and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to postpartum patients and their newborns.
• Perform assessments, monitoring vital signs, and report deviations as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Assist in complex deliveries and provide support in high-risk situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in postpartum or related fields.
• BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications required at the time of submission.
• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
