Post Partum Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Post Partum care for a night shift position. This is a 13-week contract position, with an option for 36 or 48 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and be comfortable working with high-risk labor and delivery patients.

Schedule

This role requires commitment to six weekend shifts within six weeks or every third weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for mothers and newborns in the postpartum unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for signs of complications.
• Assist with breastfeeding support and education for new parents.
• Conduct assessments and document care in the electronic charting system (Epic).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license valid in Kansas or Compact RN license.
• BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications required at the time of submission.
• At least 2 years of experience in a postpartum or similar setting.
