Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional holiday call coverage may be required.

Job Description

As a Radiation Therapist, you will administer radiation treatments according to the prescription authorized by the radiation oncologist. Your responsibilities will include obtaining images for planning and targeting, assessing patient condition prior to simulation and treatment, and providing ongoing patient education throughout the course of simulation and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Obtain images for treatment planning and targeting.
• Assess patient condition prior to simulation and treatment.
• Provide ongoing patient education during the treatment process.
• When assigned to CT simulation, create immobilization and treatment aid devices.
• Operate a CT scanner and MED RAD power injector for IV contrast.
• Obtain and analyze cross-sectional imaging for treatment planning.
• Perform blood draws as indicated.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT (T) certification required.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.
• Experience with Varian equipment is preferred.
• State licensure as a Radiation Therapist in Pennsylvania is required.
• Background checks including PA Fingerprints and PA Child Abuse clearances.
