Registered Nurse - Float Pool

This position requires 3 × 12-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 – 19:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool will provide essential nursing care across various units, including Cardiac Telemetry, Med/Surg Telemetry, and Surgical Telemetry. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Collaborate with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals to individualize care plans.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care.
• Stay informed on current nursing practices and techniques, specifically related to cardiac and stroke patients.
• Administer and manage medications including but not limited to Ammio, Nitro, and Cardizem.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a current PA Registered Nurse License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty; travel experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of stroke patients and cardiac medication management is essential.
