Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00), requiring every other weekend presence.

Job Description

The Charge Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the clinical operation of the Emergency Room. This involves functioning as both a charge nurse and staff RN as needed, ensuring high-quality care delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize strong clinical skills in emergency interventions, triage, and patient management.
• Oversee and coordinate nursing staff in the ER, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Act as a resource for nursing staff and students; provide guidance and support.
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1 during shift work.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid RN license (WA or Compact).
• Two years of experience in emergency nursing and charge experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations and effectively handle acute emergencies.
