Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3-12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Med/Surg Telemetry will provide high-quality patient care across various medical conditions. Candidates must possess strong cardiac telemetry skills and be capable of handling diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required.
• Active permanent Ohio license or compact license required at the time of submission.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be active and in hand.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for qualification.
