Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit is responsible for delivering optimal patient care by utilizing nursing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individual patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, providing comprehensive services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals and their families.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Monitor ECG rhythms on telemetry patients, assisted by Critical Care Technicians (CCTs).
• Administer medications, including non-titratable cardiac medication drips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX).
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement.
