Registered Nurse - IMCU

Schedule

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Assignment Duration

This is a 48-hour contract position with a commitment of 89 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills to manage patients with various critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, and substance abuse.
• Administer medications, including Heparin Drips, and monitor patient responses and vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient health status and progress.
• Educate patients and families on health management post-discharge.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or IMCU setting.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Valid RN license.
