Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must be available to float to different campuses and required to work every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide care for a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics, and be prepared to handle a variety of emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage advanced airway procedures.
• Utilize emergency equipment and administer blood products as needed.
• Participate in triage and assist with rapid sequence intubation and procedural sedation.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system (Epic preferred).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting required.
• Active RN license; compact license accepted.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5:1.
