Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with required weekends, minimum every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a critical access facility. The position requires floating between units. The candidate must be capable of handling a variety of patient emergencies and possess strong primary nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and effective care to patients in emergency situations.
• Administer medications and observe patients for reactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Perform triage, assessments, and document care using Epic charting system.
• Manage patient conditions including abdominal pain, respiratory issues, and trauma.
• Monitor vital signs and manage IVs and other critical interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing preferred.
• Valid RN license in Washington or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (NRP preferred).
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
