Job Description

The Obstetrical Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the highest quality of care in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) department. As part of a dedicated team, this individual assists in various surgical procedures, providing essential instrumentation, supplies, and equipment. The Obstetrical Technician also aids in nursing care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for and assist in various surgical procedures.
• Provide necessary instrumentation and supplies for operations.
• Assist in nursing care activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Support the L&D department and ensure safe patient care.
• Stock operating rooms, labor rooms, triage, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
• FLU Vaccine Required
