12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in the Stepdown Unit, providing high-quality care to patients with various medical needs. Responsibilities include monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, titrating drips, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including a hospitalist available 24/7 and intensivists during specified hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in a 28-bed private Stepdown Unit.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret strips, with support from a central monitor station.
• Titrate medications such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Assist in ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow systems.
• Work alongside nursing aides during specified shifts.
• Participate in a rotating holiday and weekend schedule.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
