Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days required every 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department and be familiar with high acuity cases. Strong clinical skills, the ability to respond to emergencies effectively, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing and managing patients with a variety of medical conditions.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with charge RN experience preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC, CPI.
• Previous experience with EPIC is required.
