Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires a Night shift of 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days every 6 weeks. Holidays as needed, with no call required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately using the EPIC charting system.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively and efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department (ED) is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred.
• Charge nurse experience and Level 2 Trauma experience are preferred.
• Active RN license required at the time of submission.
