Registered Nurse - Emergency Services

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 19:00 to 07:00, with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Weekend hours will rotate every other weekend.

Job Description

The role of the Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is crucial for providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, from birth to death. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to deliver effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize critical care equipment and technology to monitor patient status.
• Assess and respond to patient needs with appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic health record (Cerner).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in Emergency Services.
• Certification in ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NIHSS.
• Experience in a high-paced Emergency Department is preferred, particularly with stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases.
