Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of patient care. This role also requires maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities, and supervising assigned personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and effectively communicate findings.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Maintain organization and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required.
• NRP certification preferred.
