Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; floating and call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the safe delivery of care to emergency room patients, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and anticipating the needs of patients in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of ER nursing experience required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico.
