Outpatient Physical Therapist - 6 Month Contract

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring effective community reintegration for patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to create appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation timely and accurately, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in educational programs for students and staff under supervision.
• Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Maintain ethical practice in accordance with professional codes and state practice acts.
• Support organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active licensure in the state of practice.
• Prior experience with Select Medical or similar agencies is highly desired, but not mandatory.

Schedule

This position offers a 5x8 schedule with shifts assigned as needed.
