Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry to join our Acute Care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing patient needs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Manage the placement and maintenance of NG tubes, Foley catheters, and chest tubes.
• Monitor and administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide wound care and management of acute conditions such as diabetic complications and pneumonia.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively (Cerner).
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or telemetry setting.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• NG tube placement and management, Foley placement and management, and chest tube maintenance experience is required.
