Occupational Therapist

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part. The position requires strong pediatric experience as the candidate will work with both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Evaluate patient needs and track progress during therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment techniques and home exercises.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

Location

This position involves working three days in Marshall, MI, and two days in Battle Creek, MI. The facilities are 17 miles apart.

Schedule

This is a days position requiring 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy with strong pediatric experience.
• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and an insurable vehicle for travel between clinics.
