Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This position requires a day shift from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of critical conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit includes 64 beds with a patient demographic that encompasses newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Floating to other units as necessary to meet patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York State RN license.
• 2+ years of recent emergency department experience with pediatric exposure.
• Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be currently held).
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Drivers license must match demographic information provided.
