Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This role involves providing comprehensive care for various patient populations, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Manage and assess patients experiencing a range of critical conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and respiratory failure.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient treatment and outcomes.
• Float to other nursing units as required based on staffing needs.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, including pediatric experience.
• Active RN license in New York, with verification from NURSYS.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand at time of submission).
• Documented travel nursing experience.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Driver's license with an address that matches demographic requirements.
