Histotechnologist - Urology Lab

This position offers an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our Urology Lab team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing histological specimens, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all lab processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized histological procedures on urological specimens.
• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopy including embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in histotechnology or a related field.
• Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) by ASCP is preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in urology, is highly desirable.
