Sterile Processing Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with holiday rotation. No weekend requirements.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment. This role is essential in supporting surgical teams by ensuring that all instruments are processed in compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination of medical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and wrap instruments and trays according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate inventory of instruments and sterilization supplies.
• Assist in quality assurance and compliance with health regulations.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and safety guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Experience with various surgical specialties, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN.
• National certifications from CBSPD and/or HSPA are required.
• Level 1 trauma center experience is required.
