Schedule

Mid 5x8-Hour Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of instruments and supplies to support the hospital's surgical and procedural operations. The technician will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, striving for excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination processes on instruments and medical equipment.
• Assemble and wrap surgical instruments and trays according to established procedures.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning and sterilization equipment.
• Maintain proper records and documentation of sterilization processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and infection control measures.
• Assist in inventory management and supply replenishment as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience.
• Required certifications include CBSPD and/or HSPA.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma environment is required.
• Familiarity with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and gynecology cases is preferred.
