5x8s, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room and other clinical areas by ensuring all necessary tools are sterile and ready for use.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments.
• Ensure proper handling and processing of medical equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments.
• Monitor sterilization processes and equipment functionality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Level 1 Trauma experience is mandatory.
• National certifications from CBSPD and/or HSPA are required.
• Experience with sterilization, decontamination, and assembly in surgical settings.
• Preferred experience includes neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases.

Location

Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
