Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of instruments and equipment, ensuring that all items are treated according to established protocols. This position requires expertise in handling a variety of surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets for surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with departmental policies.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance skills.
• Float to sister facilities as required to meet operational needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing experience required.
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Certification from CBSPD and/or HSPA is required.
• Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases preferred.
