Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8 hours, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and supplies. This role is pivotal in maintaining the aseptic environment necessary for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap surgical kits and sets for usage in various medical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of processed items.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to meet sterilization needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Level 1 Trauma experience is required.
• Certification from CBSPD and/or HSPA is mandatory.
• Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases is preferred.
