Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role entails the delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective patient reintegration into community activities. The PT serves as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while also performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients and create individualized treatment plans.
- Complete medical record documentation with clarity, accuracy, and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
- Participate in student programs by providing supervision and constructive feedback.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and active involvement in professional organizations.
- Adhere to the specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure for physical therapy.
