OR Registered Nurse - Circulator Experience Required

Schedule

This is a full-time position, working four 9-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday. The shift times are typically from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong circulator experience and be capable of managing multiple service lines, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry procedures. This role involves the application of nursing theory and technical skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Assess patient needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate patient progress, and coordinate care delivery.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and post-discharge needs.
• Ensure a safe and healing environment for all patients.
• Adhere to infection prevention strategies and promote patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (must be through AHA/RQI).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room.
• Previous experience as a circulator is required.
• Familiarity with various surgical specialties as listed in the job description.
