ICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in our Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and possess the ability to manage critically ill patients with various complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making critical decisions regarding care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide continuous nursing care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Manage and troubleshoot arterial lines and central lines.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and telemetry strips to identify dysrhythmias.
• Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP as needed.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and proper use of PPE.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid New York State RN license.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience is mandatory.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips is essential.
