Job Description

We are seeking skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurses for a Medical Surgical/Oncology unit. The ideal candidate will have experience working with general medical-surgical patients and those with oncology history.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for medical-surgical patients with oncology needs.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage associated care as required.
• Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, and support patients with colostomy care.
• Implement isolation precautions and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with the management of central and peripheral lines.
• Respond to emergencies effectively and adhere to call requirements as scheduled.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discussions for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient, medical-surgical nursing setting.
• Prior experience with oncology care preferred.
• Current RN license; compact license acceptable for submission.
• BLS certification required; oncology certification preferred.
• Ability to administer chemotherapy if required.
• CPI certification and charge nurse experience are preferred but not mandatory.
