Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room holds accountability for providing high-quality care to patients in an emergency setting. Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, this role demands critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills for the safe delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize patient care needs in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific knowledge in patient care planning.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff based on their education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications (must be from the American Heart Association).
• 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in a hospital setting.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
