Job Description
The Registered Nurse will perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. This role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. The RN will assist patients with activities of daily living and collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support. Education needs of patients and families will be evaluated, and appropriate education provided. The RN will advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient and will be involved in surgical and neonatal processes including attending C-sections and assessing neonates post-delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform medication administration and clinical treatments as per care plan.
- Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective patient care coordination.
- Educate patients and families based on their individual needs.
- Participate in C-sections and monitor recovery of surgical patients.
- Assess and evaluate neonates following delivery procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license in Wyoming or compact RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (must be current and attached to submission).
- Certification in fetal monitoring (renewed every two years).
