Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN for the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) in a Level 1 trauma center, specializing in the care of highly acute patients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong teamwork and patient management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions.
• Perform chest tube placements and manage ventilated patients.
• Utilize Meditech/CPN EMR for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Work collaboratively with a healthcare team of charge nurses, techs, and physicians.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required. Prior experience with NIH and Meditech preferred.
• Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction effectively.
