LPN/LVN - Acute Care (Night Shift)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Floating may be required based on facility needs. Every other weekend and holiday commitment is expected.

Job Description

As an LPN/LVN in acute care, you will play a crucial role in patient care. Your responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide high-quality care. You will be required to manage dysrhythmias, handle peripheral line care, and adhere to isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration
• Monitoring and managing dysrhythmias
• Utilization of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Peripheral Line Care and Management
• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Patient assessment and communication with RNs/MDs
• Compliance with isolation precautions and PPE
• Vital sign monitoring of various patient age groups

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Current NY State License as an LPN/LVN
• BLS certification
• 8 hours of stroke education is mandatory
