CVICU Registered Nurse Position

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours scheduled, 24 hours guaranteed. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required as per department guidelines.

Job Description

Seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse with a strong background in open-heart recovery, including experience with Impella and balloon pumps. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in critical care settings and possess a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a CVICU environment focusing on post-operative recovery.
• Monitor patients on advanced cardiac assist devices, including Impella and balloon pumps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
• Document patient information and care accurately in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months CVICU experience, with at least 12 months of recent experience in a similar role.
• Active RN license with no hits, verified within the last 30 days.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
