Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist, either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care, is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary Services by following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies. This includes delivering timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintain airways and manage ventilation
• Insert arterial lines and perform intubations
• Conduct pulmonary function studies
• Administer cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
• Perform blood gas analyses

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification
• Must possess a valid WA RT license
• ACLS & BLS certifications required (must be current and through the American Heart Association)

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift from 18:00 to 06:30.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
