Nights Registered Nurse - Med/Tele

Schedule

Nights - 12 Hour Shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM. Available for 36 or 48 hours per week. Must work one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Candidates are required to work at least one holiday during the contract.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the West 6 Med/Telemetry unit. The unit consists of 40 beds, and the RN will be expected to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients in a Med/Tele setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities using EPIC charting software.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Assist with charge nurse duties as needed.
• Be flexible and willing to float to other units if required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
