Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with rotating shifts: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU experience to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of critical care nursing, including experience with ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and patient assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and efficacy.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical symptoms, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with procedures such as ECMO management, chest tube insertion/removal, and arterial line management.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments to promote optimal wellness.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid Pennsylvania RN License or Compact License.
• 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
