CT Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Friday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM EST, on call/callback, holidays, and occasional weekends.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires effective communication with patients and physicians, as well as adherence to departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Position patients safely, including assisting patients with limited mobility.
• Document all necessary components in EPIC and ensure images are sent to the PACS system.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS registration with injection therapy certification required.
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must be obtained prior to starting the position).
• Two years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
