Job Description

The Dual Modality CT Tech/X-Ray Tech is responsible for performing Cat Scan and X-Ray Imaging Exams while maintaining a professional and efficient work environment. This role requires proficiency in using imaging equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to address patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform Cat Scan and X-Ray examinations as directed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to radiation safety standards.
• Document patient information and consent as required by the department.
• Address physical and emotional needs of patients, particularly for adult and geriatric populations.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure the quality of the images produced.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Assist patients with special needs and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Keep up to date with established hospital and department policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification and NYSDOH licensure required.
• BLS Certification from AHA.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
