Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 4x12 or 3x12 hours each week. Weekend shifts are required every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience to provide high-quality care in a trauma level 1 setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in adult critical care and capable of performing a variety of respiratory therapies and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment and evaluation of patients requiring respiratory care.
• Administer medication and provide treatments using various respiratory modalities.
• Perform extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care as needed.
• Manage and troubleshoot high flow nasal cannula, CPAP, and BiPAP therapies.
• Provide pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RRT certification required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a trauma level 1 facility.
• Proficiency in using EPIC for one year is required.
