Registered Nurse - Stepdown/Med Surg

This position is for 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown/Med Surg unit. This unit specializes in providing care for patients with respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injuries, and chest pain.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown and med-surg patients
• Monitor patients and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
• Administer medication and titrate drips as needed (Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, amiodarone)
• Utilize RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow
• Collaborate with the house supervisor and charge nurse to ensure effective patient care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Previous stepdown nursing experience is a must
