Registered Nurse - Medsurg/Stepdown/Tele Unit

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour night shift on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday) from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

This Resource Pool RN position covers all Medsurg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units. Candidates are expected to have experience in Epic, with a strong background in a Level 1 trauma facility while having traveled in previous nursing roles. The RN will work across various units, providing care to patients with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Medsurg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as per physician orders.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience in Medsurg, Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General medicine, and Oncology.
• Must have valid nursing license with an address outside 50 miles from the facility.
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for at least 2 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
