Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer

Assignment Duration

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 5 days of 8-hour shifts, covering both day (08:00 - 16:00) and night (16:30 - 08:30) hours.

Job Description

As a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on patients ranging from neonates to adults with congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac diseases. The role requires proficiency in various echocardiographic techniques, patient care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic procedures, including 2-D and 3-D echocardiograms.
• Conduct bubble studies and assess a variety of cardiac conditions such as aortic stenosis and tetralogy of Fallot.
• Ensure accurate imaging and documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Meet daily patient visitation goals while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including isolation precautions and the proper use of PPE.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active ARDMS certification: RDCS AE, RDCS PE, and BLS certification required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric cardiac sonography preferred.
• Experience with fetal echocardiography and procedural competencies in pediatric care is a plus.
• Must be comfortable floating to other units within your specialty as needed.
