Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Endoscopy Surgical Technician to assist nursing staff and physicians during procedures. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of equipment related to various endoscopic procedures, including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations. Responsibilities will include disinfecting and processing endoscopic equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues, setting up rooms for procedures, transporting patients as needed, stocking rooms with supplies, and assisting patients as directed by nursing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the efficient running of endoscopic equipment during procedures.
  • Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
  • Set up procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Transport patients to and from procedures as needed.
  • Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
  • Apply EKG monitors, BP cuffs, and pulse oximetry before cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • Registered with DORA as a Colorado Surgical Tech is required.
  • 2 years of endoscopy experience is required.
  • Advanced case endoscopy experience is required.
  • Highly preferred certifications: SGNA Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program.
  • Current IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification is preferred.
