Acute Care Physical Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist for a contract position in a Short Term Acute Care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, providing quality care to patients in need of acute rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Administer patient care to help improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and rehabilitation protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a Day 5x8 hour schedule from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Weekend and call shifts are not required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
• Current and valid physical therapy license in hand at the time of submission.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
