This position requires a 5x8 hour work schedule from 08:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

Job Description

Join a 450-bed trauma level 3 hospital providing therapy services across various specialties including orthopedics, neurology, oncology, post-operative recovery, and medical-surgical care. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients alongside a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists. This fast-paced environment sees an average of 8-10 patients per day, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop individual treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions to enhance patient recovery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes and home exercises.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Current Texas PT license (pending applications accepted).
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
