ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit

Schedule

Night shifts: 3 × 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30) totaling 36 hours/week.

Job Description

As an ICU Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), you will provide comprehensive patient care under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is expected to evaluate, implement, and assess patient care needs, collaborating with the patient and healthcare team to ensure individualized care. You will direct nursing support staff in accordance with established standards and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement care plans for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Direct and support nursing staff in delivering patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient health status, specifically in complex cases including withdrawal syndromes, hypertensive conditions, and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current PA or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical specialty area and 2 years of general RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
